한국 아침 루틴: 아이들과의 일상
오전 7시쯤 천천히 눈을 뜨고, 회사에 가는 남편을 배웅해줍니다.
그 후 저는 아이들을 깨울 준비를 해요.
하지만 전날 밤 아빠랑 놀다가 피곤했던 아이들은 쉽게 일어나질 않네요. 😅
Around 7 a.m., I slowly open my eyes and say goodbye to my husband as he leaves for work.
Then, I start getting ready to wake up the kids.
But since they stayed up playing with their dad the night before, they don’t get up easily.
8시 10분에서 30분 사이에 일어나 간단한 아침식사를 합니다.
김에 밥을 싸먹거나 포도, 귤, 사과 같은 과일을 먹기도 하고,
삶은 계란을 먹을 때도 있어요.
세수와 양치질을 시키고, 옷은 스스로 입게 합니다.
Between 8:10 and 8:30, they finally wake up and have a simple breakfast — sometimes rice with seaweed, sometimes fruit like grapes, tangerines, or apples, and sometimes just a boiled egg. After breakfast, I help them wash their faces and brush their teeth. They dress themselves — I try to let them do it on their own.
모든 준비를 마치면 가방을 메고 집을 나섭니다.
우리 아이들은 아파트 단지 내 유치원에 다닙니다.
When everything is ready, they put on their backpacks and we head out. My kids go to a kindergarten located right inside our apartment complex.
한국의 아파트에는 초등학교, 어린이집, 유치원 등 아이들을 위한 교육기관이 함께 있는 경우가 많아요.
이걸 한국에서는 ‘초품아’라고 부릅니다. (‘초등학교를 품은 아파트’의 줄임말이에요.)
In Korea, many apartment complexes include schools or childcare centers — such as elementary schools, daycares, and kindergartens — within the community itself. We call this kind of place “Chopoom-ah” (short for ‘Elementary School within Apartment Complex’).
제가 사는 아파트도 모두 단지 안에 있어서 아이들을 걸어서 보낼 수 있다는 점이 정말 좋아요.
버스나 차를 타지 않아도 되는 건 큰 행복이에요.
Thankfully, our apartment has everything inside the complex, so the kids can go to kindergarten comfortably on foot. Not having to take a bus or drive is such a joy.
아이들도 참 좋아해요.
